Installation & Setup

This guide walks you through the complete setup process, from creating your account to configuring your first workspace.

Creating Your Account

Step 1: Sign Up

  1. Visit our signup page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a strong password
  4. Verify your email

Step 2: Choose Your Plan

Select the plan that best fits your needs:

Step 3: Create Your Workspace

After signing up, you’ll be prompted to create your first workspace:

  1. Enter a workspace name
  2. Choose your workspace URL (e.g., yourcompany.example.com)
  3. Select your timezone
  4. Configure initial settings

Desktop App Installation

macOS

# Using Homebrew
brew install --cask our-platform

# Or download directly from our website

Windows

  1. Download the installer from our downloads page
  2. Run the .exe file
  3. Follow the installation wizard
  4. Launch the app from your Start menu

Linux

# Debian/Ubuntu
sudo apt install our-platform

# Fedora
sudo dnf install our-platform

# Arch Linux
yay -S our-platform

Environment Variables

For advanced users, you can configure the platform using environment variables:

# API Configuration
PLATFORM_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
PLATFORM_WORKSPACE_ID=your_workspace_id

SSO Configuration

If you’re on an Enterprise plan, you can configure Single Sign-On:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Security > SSO
  2. Select your identity provider (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, etc.)
  3. Follow the provider-specific instructions
  4. Test the connection
  5. Enable SSO for your workspace

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Issue: Can’t receive verification email

  • Check your spam folder
  • Add noreply@example.com to your contacts
  • Try a different email address

Issue: Desktop app won’t launch

  • Ensure you meet the minimum system requirements
  • Try reinstalling the application
  • Check for conflicting software

Issue: Mobile app crashes on startup

  • Update to the latest app version
  • Clear the app cache
  • Restart your device
